Working at Sinclair means being part of a family. We work collaboratively, laugh constantly, celebrate as a team and enjoy regular team activities. We work together very closely on a national basis, which means we leverage support and ideas from our colleagues in other branches.

A day in the life as a Recruitment Consultant involves;

  • Professional management of client portfolios
  • Prospecting new business
  • Attending client visits
  • Ad writing, data base searching and networking
  • Interviewing candidates
  • Reference checking candidates
  • Scheduling interviews between clients and candidates
  • Negotiating offers of employment
  • Candidate care

At Sinclair Recruitment we operate on a 360 degree basis which means we manage the recruitment process end to end. We have a culture of sharing and a ‘no red tape’ policy, ideas are bounced frequently, decisions are made quickly and we act with the interest of bringing quality clients and candidates together. ‘Do the right thing because it is the right thing to do’… That is our motto.

The traits of a successful Recruitment Consultant include;

  • Drive, motivation and a positive can-do attitude are essential competencies across our most successful consultants
  • Organisation, time management and prioritisation are key, as often you need to work on a number of different elements of the recruitment lifecycle at once
  • Work ethic is really important to us, as a high performance culture require effort and commitment
  • Goal driven and target orientated, as that focus will help you get the results required
  • Emotional intelligence, allowing you to manage relationships and be self-aware to help your development
  • Intelligence and problem solving to ensure you can deal with any issues that arise, as the recruitment life cycle is complex
  • Communication, specifically being able to persuade and build rapport are all important skills for a sales person

Nothing worth having comes easily, and a career in recruitment is not for those who are faint at heart so if you are considering a career in this industry, we encourage you to make the decision carefully and gather all the facts. Most importantly however you have to want to succeed and have a never-say-die mentality, you need to know in your head, heart and gut that the only that that could ever stand between you and your goal is your own attitude. In return we offer the highest commissions and benefit schedule known in the industry, monthly company lunches and a quirky company culture that is filled with laughter and genuine people.
